Any adventure stories from those who were stationed at RAF Lakenheath or RAF Mildenhall?

I am curious as to how many people on Rally Point have either been stationed at either of these bases or have had the pleasure to pass through these areas on your way to somewhere else? If you were stationed at these bases how much did you adventure out? and what was your favorite places?

Here are the links to both of the trusts I mentioned. Well worth the money!

I was not stationed at either of these bases, but was at RAF Menwith Hill in Harrogate, N. Yorkshire and traveled to those locations quite often (mostly for the actual Exchange vs. the tiny one we had! LOL!)
Being in the UK provides some awesome travel opportunities no matter where you're at. We enjoyed Wales, London and Scotland most of all. If you are going there and enjoy history, memberships in the National Trust and English Hermitage are (in my opinion) a must and will pay for themselves with visits to 2 or 3 sites alone (they include everything from historic manor homes and castles to sites like Stonehenge). The list is seemingly endless! If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask!
