I was really impacted by 9/11 and my question is this...NY Times published in FULL COLOR the TRADE TOWERS GETTING BLOWN UP! Capturing innocent American Citizens having to basically commit suicide because they did not want to burn to death from the implosion of the buildings.....But the White House feels that the AMERICAN people do not need to see the pictures of Osama Bin Laden actually DEAD! I personally think that they should have done what David did to Goliath, parade his cut off head through the streets.....WHY is my question? Will there ever be a DEMAND to RELEASE the PHOTOS? I am curious how many of you would like to know he actually is DEAD!!!

SSG Ed Mikus SrA Jeff Campbell Many have been affected by the 9/11 attack - I can't change that.
However, we, as a nation, do not parade the "death faces" of our enemies - no matter how vile or evil they may be. We also do not parade the "death faces" of our military and we ask that others respect that request. The fact the Taliban (and others) desecrates our wounded and KIA is no reason for us to retaliate in kind. That is not who we are as a nation, as a people or as a military. For those that believe we should publish the "death faces" of our enemies may I most strongly suggest you find another career.
For those that insist on seeing the body.......If you cannot accept the word and confirmation of our leadership that OBL is dead - get over yourself. There is a time and place for just about everything - but there is no place for the U.S. to take an enemy and parade his dead body just so those that wish to see and touch may do so. For the U.S. to publicize the picture of any of our dead enemies gives the green light to any of our enemies to do the same to our dead. Is that what you want? If so, then your need to see is certainly outweighed by the needs of the thousands of family members who do NOT want the last image of their loved ones to be of what happened to that family member in harms way.

PO1 (Join to see) , Very well said. Sometimes, the bitterness in our hearts blinds our eyes and blocks our ears. Thank you for saying what had to be said.

Wow you seriously trust the current establishment that is in the government... Benghazi....and so many other things that are wrong in the White house...........Your counter point of an argument is just words. If you think that for one second that the RADICAL TERRORIST needs any motivation to kill anyone....just watch the news! They do not need Motivation......However for our so called leaders that are controlling the US government to just say....yes we got him.....and we buried him at sea....SORRY....I have a Hard Time BELIEVING A BUNCH OF LIARS!!!!!! The amount of TERRORISTS that have killed soldiers, innocent Americans, and have not been punished for their acts of violence is detestable! YES I personally think that we are entitled to see that Bin Laden was DEAD.....they showed chemical Ali, they showed Saddam husseins sons in the media and the world did not end! If Bin Laden is Dead...which we are supposed to believe....then he is a martyr to the terrorist community already. The BS of showing his picture gives him more Martyrdom power is a bunch of FLUFF!!! TERRORISTS KILL...and they do not care who they kill!!!! (notice I am not saying Muslim, or Sect or specifically targeting a group) IT IS A FACT....TERRORISM is the ACT OF KILLING INNOCENTS! The people that died on September 11......were all innocents.....Not One who perished from the passengers in the planes to the innocents at their desks doing their job had a choice that day....You are arguing for people who in my personal opinion if caught should all be taken to an island and BLOWN UP! Why stand up for people who attack our country? I TOTALLY DISAGREE with your opinion! i get the point that you are trying to convey....we are better then the terrorists because of...... however it does not bring back the MOMS, the DADS, The BROTHERS, THE SISTERS that were lost that day DUE TO TERRORISM!!! Thank GOD we live in a FREE SOCIETY to have the RIGHT TO OUR OPINION!! and in my OPINION if the current Administration does not get serious about the state of the WORLD/ and the TERRORISM that is growing (ISIS) we could find ourselves fighting terrorism on our HOME SOIL once again!!!

If a picture is all the proof you need how is their word less valuable? i understand the difference but in reality if you think one could be a lie so could the other be.
My understanding was the pictures were not released out of respect for the Muslim Religion, and we should try to respect all religious beliefs when appropriate.

Yes I remember and I thought that was TRUE justice! Instead of having to believe an Administration that has lied from Day 1! Now I am just supposed to believe that its TRUE because they said it! Proof is in the story and in the details!!

my understanding was that the body and head had more damage than told to us. the pictures were with held so as to mot make the Muslim people angrier not out of respect. The enemy cuts off heads then displays that on thr internet, TV etc...to show their power.
