I never really knew the overall numbers of the WWII. I knew ours but I didn't realize the total cost was about 70 million. This is a great education video that looks at the numbers of the war. It is worth watching.

I have read very scholarly work describing our enterence into WWI&II. The wars were winding down by the time we arrived.
For instance, Germany had already invaded Russsia and Japan was blockaded without resources. These guys had already killed most of Europe before we arrived.

I've done research on this. The Russians lost an incredible amount of people. It's almost unfathomable to be honest. The USS Missouri Museum has these numbers.. It really puts things into perspective.

The link to the video breaks it down pretty good. I didn't know the Russians lost that many. They didn't care about their own.

My interest w/b focused on the amount of Lend Lease and other giveaways was returned to the USA!
