What would you do if some loud-mouth moron tried to publicly "out" you for "Stolen Valor" because they didn't believe you ever served?

ENS (Join to see) I'd walk away - I don't have anything to prove to anyone about my accomplishments, medals, or awards. My integrity is intact and I won't let some idiot provoke me into rearranging their face. I'm retired and those are part of my family now and will be handed down to my daughters and their family when I'm dead and gone, along with the DD Form 214 that authorizes all of them! End of story!

BUT Very Few Others Whom I Know, Ever Heard Of It Before.
I LOVE It ~~ It's A True CLASSIC ~~ Like "STUFF IT UP URANUS":
Thanks For Repeating It ~~ Others Here NEED To Know It For Their Future Use !

I would publicly disprove their credibility by presenting documentation from, in my case, the Air Force, paperwork from Randolph Air Force Base records, listing and proving the accuser is a liar. Once exposed as a liar, the accuser will never be trusted again and have no defense. If they claim the documentation is forged, they will have to go to Randolph Air Force Base or just make excuses for failing to do so. That public humiliation will do better justice by destroying their usurped reputation than "rearranging their face" or "walking away." If they run away, they will expose themselves as fraudulent accusers.
That is why you should obtain and keep documents to back yourself up in case you want to reveal medals awarded to you. When you make a claim, treat those who hear of it or read it as having the right to be given proof. This will demonstrate your support for all victims of stolen valor, the deceived and the people who earned their medals. If anyone has an honest doubt, give them that right to see the proof because they are entitled to it.

Maj Gail Lofdahl - Unfortunately, I even find myself asking women, because the ratio of male to female is so high (in my age group, at least). I can recall my mother (WWII Nurse) complaining that it was so much easier to carry my father's papers than her own, because hers also had the wrong-name (maiden-name). So thank you for your service, Ma'am, lasting progress might possibly occur just because any change is GI-slow.

In Nevada to get a disabled veterans handicap plate you need to show that you are 100% disabled by the VA.

Ha ... I never once have been approached by anyone questioning my service, Keeping a promise, I do still wear one of my tags everyday next to my remembrance tags for my brothers that didn't make it home. I have spotted a few of these low IQ very sad types at dog parks and on cruise ships and of course those two posers running against President Trump and Vice President JD. Vance called "Stolen Color and Stolen Valor"
I like to think I would decide to have fun with their moronic ass, I would not show whats in my wallet. I would confess while throwing myself on his mercy * kind of hard to do at 6'4 and hes vertically and mentally challenged* I absolutely did not quack like a duck at the Houston MEPS. I surely did not condition my mind or body at charlie sand hill Ft. Benning, Georgia, or run the 12 miles to the Alabama state line during a hear wave for AIT. wasn't me in the gig pit surrounded by black hats telling me the closest thing to a chickens ass was a leg and I would never be Airborne. Yada Yada Etc Yawn.....
BUT what I did do , was serve with the local girl scout unit and was awarded the meritorious badge for best shaved legs and selling AND CONSUMING the most thin mints. I also got hazard pay for serving with your mother last night, But hell, everyone has served with your mother. I mean that's like getting the ARCOM Medal.. So many people have it ... JODY won't even touch it. So scoot on home to mommy and play some more Call of Duty. And for God's sale loosen up that headband ... let some oxygen get in ;)
