Military uniforms come and go - more often than not recently. What uniform do you wish they'd bring back? For me - it is 100% the Johnny Cashes.

That uniform looks WAY better than the peanut butters we were today. Black and tans are not as sharp as full black. Leave full Khaki's to E7 and above. Let the E6 and below wear the slimming Johnny Cashes!

No idea why we did away with it!

ENS (Join to see), for the Army, I'd like to see pinks and greens return. Originally (during WWII) they were for officers only, but it would suit me if they were reprised for all ranks. Every Army service dress uniform since then has been less than satisfactory in my opinion. SSG (Join to see) SGT John " Mac " McConnell SGT David A. 'Cowboy' Groth

No doubt about it, Amn (Join to see). However, this discussion thread is almost four years old!

I've always liked the Bell-bottom Dungarees and Chambray Shirts. I thought they were the most comfortable uniform.

I like the blueberry uniform on my son. The look much better than the dungerees I wore as an enlisted man in the 80s..

SCPO Jason McLaughlin - How about those new 1st's who cut below the dotted line and when they ironed their crows on they got a little more then what they wanted! LOL!.

I'm not sure who came first, sailors or prisoners, but it was the same uniform. And I thought that was kind of filthy disrespectful to have active serving military wearing the same uniform as a prisoner in the jail system.

Typical government - looking to save a buck somewhere.

I don’t recall too many who liked Dungarees back when I was in! Hard to maintain and make to look good. Pants faded out way too quickly!

I liked the “Blue Cammies” they had for a while. Durable uniform, looked sharp, and still looked “Navy!” I’m not getting the green cammie uniform at all!

For garrison use only: Heavily Starched Sateens w canvas leggings. Got to love a formation with Cadillac fin creases you can cut yourself on.

Maj John Bell These fatigues were not sateen, just an upgrade from HBTs in my initial issue.

Used to break starch and wear spit-shined boots in garrison.

No! I hated wearing starch in my utilities! I'd sweat like a stuck pig, especially on Okinawa! Nope! I'm good!

PO3 Donald Murphy until you have to wear them in a humid environment! The Woodland cammies just didn't breathe when starched!
