Flying it upside down is a signal for distress, but the people that do fly it upside down (most of the time) have different intentions than "distress"

SSG (Join to see) - There's a lot of things people are saying these days that we don't like... and yet, here we are defending their right to say it. Quiet professionalism isn't always easy.

MAJ Bryan Zeski I wish I had the freedom to throat punch a dude. Unfortunately, besides verbally confronting them, there's not much you can do. I'm sure many of us feel the same.

There's an easy solution to this. Call the police and tell them the individual is in distress. An upside-down flag is a signal of distress.

That is, if you want to be a patriotic jerk about it like myself...

SSG Drew Cook - Not at all. Flying a flag upside-down is an internationally-recognized sign that you need help. There would be no basis for what you say.

LTC (Join to see) is right. This behavior warrants law enforcement action. An upside down flag is a signal of grave distress when there are no other means of communicating to others.

Knowing what's going on with our government, our country, and how they are treating our active duty soldiers and veterans, Our dollar means nothing, we are about to be bought out by China, and the General Attorney is trying hard to get Martial Law here in the United States, patrolling our street, while thousands of Police get fired. And our U.S. Constitution will be voided. You don't think our country is in distress? Our soldiers can still fight, die, and give their life for a distressed country. Think again. Many ppl see it. Or is it only a right that someone who has and is serving, can hold a distressed flag?-Christy
