America as a whole, I know PLENTY of people that will vote only in their party, and would never think about voting outside of it. What are some ideologies that you find appealing on the opposite side? What are some downsides of your party?

I never vote parties. I hate the republican party and all the old turds running it. I relate more to that party though because I am all about not becoming socialist.

In the words of my dear grandmother, " I never vote the party, but I never met a democrat I liked."

I'm similar to you. I like the Republican party as an ultimate platform, but I never liked Republican candidates (and how the party is represented) as much as I like the Democratic Party. I just don't agree with some of the Democratic Party values. Libertarian it is....

My Mother used to say that Americans vote their pocketbooks. Certainly true of many.

I don't disagree with this at all. Especially for this up and coming election.

Pros:
Republicans - Ownership of firearms, Non-PC, Business oriented (if some sorts)

Democrats - Right to choose (abortion, who you marry), improving infrastructure, non intervention military

Libertarian- All of the above!
