Jack churchill by viking juggernaut
It could be a commander, strategist, or a "grunt." Regardless, he or she should be a BAMF!

Please say why, and post a picture.

I nominate Jack Churchill, who carried a sword and bow into WWII!

Joe brown medal ceremony 2
Major General Lewis B. (Chesty) Puller.

Followed closely by my father who served in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. He was awarded multiple medals to include the Bronze Star, numerous Good Conduct Medals, Meritorious Service Medals, Korean War Medal just to name a few.

I appreciate all of the thumbs up, but my question is why are you doing this. Is it for Chesty Puller of Joseph Brown?

Carlos "White Feather" Hathcock. Credited with 93 confirmed kills in Vietnam. But also pulled seven Marines out of an Amtrak after it rolled over a landmine, despite second- and third-degree burns (having been in the Amtrak when it exploded). Said he was only doing what any other Marine would have done.

Had multiple sclerosis the entire time.

SSgt (Join to see) Have you read the books based on his experiences? I almost forgot about him.

The only one I've read was Marine Sniper: 93 Confirmed Kills by Charles Henderson. Awesome! The gates of Heaven had to open wide for Gunny Hathcock.

There was a second book, but I cannot recall the name of it now. Tells of his final days.
