What books, articles, websites would you recommend (for research) for someone taking a class on leadership?

Am looking for resources to use of a military nature to help me in a college class in Leadership as a business elective. Subjects are The meaning of leadership, Traits and Ethics of Leadership, Strategic leadership, Team Leadership, Communication Leadership, and Effective leadership. Looking for books, articles, journal articles, blogs, websites, and anything you can think of.

Look at the book "Don't Fire Them Fire Them Up". Good book on building a team, communication and effective leadership..

A lot of prestigious schools have articles similar to what you would find in a scientific journal. Some of them you have to pay for, but if you lurk around the web enough, you can find tons of sites that you can compile to what you would learn in college level classes.

I will echo others and highly recommend "It's Your Ship". It's a no-nonsense approach to leadership that actually works.
