I know this should get some fun started. The Navy actually used "In the Navy" by the Village People. That sucks. The Army was "Be All That You Can Be" when I came in...Priceless, then Army of One, and Army Strong killed all hopes and dreams. Marines...the damn ugly CGI commercial fighting the dragon? Seriously? Air Force was "Be All That You Couldn't be In the Army" by Aiming High..

I don't know about commercials bro, but I think "An Army of One" is the absolute worst recruiting slogan I have ever heard. If they were trying to make it as bad as they could on purpose, it couldn't have been much worse.

The "Army of One" slogan came in handy for me when I was on my two weeks annual training with the Reserves and the clinic on Fort Indiantown Gap would not administer my prescribed medication (provided by me) injection because "we don't treat reservists". My response to the LTC: "Army of One, Ma'am!" as I left.

Army of One. So much for uniformity. Sounds like you wanna be an individual. I guess we aren't going to be doing any team building exercises.

Worst recruiting campaign ever and I hated watching that Soldier running the opposite direction of everyone else...not sure if he was retreating or everyone else was. ONE was suppose to represent O - Officer N - Noncommissioned Officers E - Enlisted, together they make "one"....stupid I know.

SP5 Christine Conley - Yep or maybe say something that could be understood like" the Army team" even " be all that You can be" was better than Army of One. Even if You said " One Army" that is still better. If You have to explain what the message meant then the message has already failed and should be changed.

SSG Warren Swan - My personal "worst" favorite has to go to the Army's "We do more before 9am than most people do all day." My God, what sort of hair-brained teen-ager would bite at that opportunity?!

CPT (Join to see) - So was the commission worth it Sir? I need to look up this new PRT thing. No more warm up, stretching, muscle failure, run, cool down stretching, 1SG rambling on whatever is on his mind with workcall at 0900?

SSG Warren Swan - Yes, the commission was definitely worth it bro.
But the whole PRT thing is ridiculous. Skipping (literally ) down the field, jumping like super mario, walking sideways with our hands out like we're playing patty cake with each other. The rest of it happens kind of like usual after that stuff and the rest of the PRT sequence. 1SG still like to cut into people's time by talking about things that could easily wait until 0900, which for some poor bastards is their 3rd formation of the day.
