I am thinking of putting Guam on my dream sheet for my next post. Has anyone served there that can provide some insight?

It is what you make it to be. Lots of things to do, but you have to hunt them out.
Also, it's a great place to go other places, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, etc etc

ADV: I was stationed there from 96-98 and loved it. Great weather year round, one of the world's best places for scuba/snorkeling, great golf, loads of culture.
DIS-ADV: "Island fever." This never happened to me. Being on a small island didn't bother me. Schools are not great, or at least weren't when I was there. Lots of typhoons. Long flight to go anywhere else.

Never been stationed there, however I visit every year to visit my In-Laws. I have been trying to find out who is the supply sergeant for 3RD BATTALION, 196TH INFANTRY BRIGADE. This has become a very difficult task. The weather is almost always great, and the island life will get ya every time. I recommend Spear Fishing and jet skiing. The island offers a lot, you just have to get out and find it.
