I see so many people daily doing everything they possibly can to don't accept technology even in the military. As far as the military you don't have a choice, you either learn or your career is over. Everything is computerize I try to tell people; "Just learn the basic things to keep up; you don't have to be a guru." What is some ways to convince a person to come on board to prevent from being left behind in the civilian world you have to know?

Chief, I agree and I applaud your efforts to assist those who may be reluctant to warm up to technology. The cold fact of the matter is that we are living in a rapidly changing world, and we only have two choices. 1 - Adapt, or 2 - Become obsolete. I would much prefer NOT to become obsolete!

If they are a subordinate then you should show them how technology can help them. But, if they can do there job without it, then more power to them. We have too many people who are lost when the technology doesn't work.

MSG Williams, I try to ease their anxiety by showing them how particular things will make their life / job a little easier. It doens't always work, but more often then not, it does.

CW3, I look at the supermarkets, major hardware stores, and other businesses leaning to more to self help checkout. We will see more and more cashiers in the future, and our cell phones is getting more advance as we speak every day, thank you for having the patience to help others who may be intimidated.
