I have a roving guard that was suppose to check security of buildings that fell under the unit. I was pulling it with a CPL who had done it before and it was my first time. At the very first building I stopped the GOV and told the CPL to get out and check the right side and I will check the left. He got confused and said "we usually just make sure the doors are closed from the car." My response: "Indulge me. Lets pretend I am in charge and I like things done more accurately." We check the building and found all doors closed but 3 unlocked. throughout the night we check about 12 buildings 6 were unlocked. 1 was unlocked and the MP's came becuase we set off an alarm checking it. The command modified the instructions to specifically state you have to physically check the doors from then on.

And a for fun story. We causght a Soldier repelling off the second floor of the barracks while drunk...with sheets.

Six stripped bunks in the hallway with drunk soldiers so they do not drown in their own vomit as some had done in the past. Whore being brought in. Barracks room full of trash and dryer full of lint ready to start a fire. Was basically reprimanded as it was a quality of life issue for the soldier. 1995 Panama.
