So it's that time again, and I am again starting the process of chasing the so called "Army Benefits". So far I have a feeling this is going to be a lot like every other time I have tried to use my benefits, which is much like trying to catch a leprechaun. You spend a lifetime chasing clues from website to website, spend an eternity chasing rainbows, then eventually give up realizing that leprechaun's don't really exist.
So far GoArmyEd sent me to WEBS, who then sent me to the FAFSA website, who then sent me to the studentloans.gov website, who then told me that I have to get what I need from my school's student loan department, who then sent me back to studentloans.gov who then sent me to nslds.ed.gov who then tried to send be back to both studentloans.gov and my school. I was able to track down the Master Promissory Note, but it has nothing on it about totals dispersed, is this what the application is looking for? Any tips on tracking down the promissory notes for my individual loans or other advice on what hoops to expect next?

For Army Reserves:
Contact your student loan provider and request a deferral for the student loan repayment program and a copy of your loan. You upload those docs into:
https://selfservice.rcms.usar.army.mil/education
You will need your CAC card for login.
You can find more info at:
Good luck.

I delayed payment on my student loans while in the military. Wish I would have just paid them off, instead of having that extra dept when I got out.

This is my second attempt at using the SLRP. When I joined 8 years ago, I had about $3000 in student loans from my first stint in college, after all of the frustration, following the process and getting everything set up in WEBS, they never made a payment, so I ended up giving up on it and paying the loans off myself.
This time, I am going to have substantially more loans, and hope to not let them get away with the red-tape method of preventing me from using my benefits. It's just frustrating because I have already spent over 4 hours chasing down information and I don't think I have even broke ground on getting this set up. The application is submitted - to the best of my understanding - and now I have to figure out the rest of the process.

I fell in the years when there was no GI bill. So all the cost was on me. Good luck keep pushing it make them pay. It is the least that this Country owes you.
