Why do muslim women cover their face with veil, why niqab, face veil, hijab, headcover
http://www.muslimkidschannel.com very interesting discussion about niqaab
The attached is an honest discussion between muslim women about covering the face and or head or not wearing a cover at all. We don't have to agree with it but we can make an effort to learn, an effort to understand.

I respect all religions. However, it is hard to trust someone when the only thing you see is their eyes. As the article I attached says, "Over evolutionary time, the ability to quickly extract information from faces has given us an edge in predicting character and behavior. It helps us to discern who's sick and whom to trust, who's flirtworthy, and who might blow up at a moment's notice. To get a sense of others' religiosity, sexual orientation, promiscuity, aggressiveness, competence, intelligence, and even trustworthiness, you might think that you should focus on how they act, not how they look. But then you'd neglect your swiftest insights." https://www.psychologytoday.com/articles/201211/whats-in-face.
My personal point is the it is hard to judge a face by its cover, especially if you don't see the face behind the cover. How do I trust someone when I only see eyes? I will not. Interpersonal skills are not developed behind covers; it's face to face time. I respect if you do not want to show your face in public; however, you also have to deal with how the public perceives your choices.

2LT R.A, I do refer to me, specifically on my comment. When I comment "in general and in public," I am referring to a public and general location, not everyone's general or public opinion.

2LT R. A. When I see posts like that I avoid them and the confrontation. We are supposed to be professionals at all times. My policy on this site is, if someone says something I don't agree with a move on and forget about it. That is just how I handle those type of situations. I don't like to add fuel to a fire, if you know what I mean. Everyone here is entitled to an opinion and they should never attack anyone for any reason. If SSG Carlos Madden finds any comments or posts that are attacking someone he will make that call. This is just my opinion on the matter!

2LT R. A. - Please stop. There is nothing here that is offensive, it is only a difference of opinion. As long as the opinion is not offensive through it presentation; cursing, improper tone, ... it stays. This is how we learn.

It is actually a Christian tradition before the Muslims incorporated it into their faith, since their faith started in the 500-600s. You can still see Christian women using the veil to hide their hair at church although they are not total facial veils. Muslims took the facial veil to prevent women from tempting men into infidelity. Christian example of this are shown in Mary in most of her pictures.

just watched it I think that it is a personal choice not a requirement. Big difference between someone wearing on in the US and one wearing in the Middle East.

I could've not said it any better. Islam hijacked many ideological and methodologies from Christianity and it is those that they took and modified to reflect their own interpretations and hence why there are so many troubles with some of those who take this to an extreme level of interpretation. Sad but true
