I've been warned, again. I've been flagged, again. I'm too naughty for this forum.

i'll give respect where i see respect is due. if nancy's get bent out of shape over words on the internet, they should really log off. a site that tells me i can only talk a certain way within active duty and vets is horse shit as far as i'm concerned. but that's just me.

I don't think we are limited to political correctness here on RP. We have a wide range of opinions expressed, and that's great. This is a professional network, and we do have various rules governing interactions on the site. You can find them here, in RP 3-1: http://rly.pt/RP3-1
If you have any questions about the rules or anything else, feel free to contact me or any of the other admins. We love to help.

I think where things went South in the "pathetic times" thread was the overt disrespect to the President. There are a lot of strong opinions out there on current events. God knows I have them too. But there are a lot of current service members on this site that can find themselves in big trouble for putting their personal opinions out on the internet.
Once that conversation got going, the usual suspects started tossing around vitriol at other members and the whole thing went to hell.
It is ok to have a controversial position, and this is as good a place to air it as any. We just have to stay away from attacking the person, and keep the debate on the subject matter. I was a little surprised that thread survived admin scrutiny as long as it did.
Too bad. I was looking forward to reading responses to my post. Oh well.

CPT Amy Jennings - if any active duty personnel become influenced by some shit they read on an internet forum, we're doomed. it's time to pull the heads out of the asses and realize that reality is everything outside of this site and the keyboard warriors behind it. you made it to Cpt. and you seriously made that post? unbelievable.

I say again, stay on subject and don't make it personal. CPT Amy Jennings earned her rank and position, and so did Cpl Toby Dodd. What you did doesn't make your points any more valid.
I don't think that you were the primary agitator in that thread, CPL Dodd, folks that I have seen do it over and over again were. Try not to take it too personally. The thread had spiraled out of control, and the admins took it down because of that, not because of you.
