My son bought a 9mm pistol for mother, but did not go over basic marksmanship or maintenance. They went firing yesterday. He never showed her how to disassemble it for cleaning. She brings it to me and drops the magazine which had rounds in it. Then she takes it off safe and tries to disassemble it, all the while pointing the pistol in various directions. I yelled at her to put it back on safe.

Yes she had the safety off pointing it at me. Tanks have taken all and any risk taking out of me.

MAJ Ken Landgren - I would say that you and your wife need to strap your son in the ankle grabbing position and both take turns kicking him in his six for that massive brainfart of not teaching your wife proper handling and endangering both you and her.
