In or out had little to do with my happiness. It was one of my pet peeves while serving to hear the younger members daydreaming about what life was going to be like in "the real world". I always counselled them to take advantage of life wherever it found them. Sadly, my words most often fell on deaf ears.

I enjoy the freedom of being a private citizen, but I miss my Marines.

Semper Fi. Once a Marine always a Marine. I miss my guys also. It was the best of times, and the worst of times.

I hate being out of the ARMY, I was born on an ARMY Post, was raised in the ARMY and was still quartered with my parents when I enlisted, I was sent HOME because I was hit hard and had 32 years in, Where is my HOME. The ARMY

It started off like this, felt like this, but somehow I'd do it all over again for free now.

Warren I would do it all over again as well, but I gotta tell you, I would definitely go commissioned this time around, the retirement payment alone would be well worth it.
