Out-frickin-standing! The Soldiers were going through the first 10 steps of performing a (modified) weapons functions check....learning by repetition....together....Out-fricking-standing Drill Sergeant!

Jerry, if your life - and the life of your buddy next to you - depended upon the correct functioning of your weapon, you would see the wisdom in this drill. These kids will remember how to do a proper functions check on their weapon for the rest of their lives. "Stupid" drills like this have saved thousands of lives over the course of this nation.

There are a lot of ways to teach, Master Chief. Those Soldiers get plenty of repetition on function, clearing and operating their weapons. Some may say that spectacle was fabulous. I disagree. That looked to be a bit of self-aggrandizement on the part of the Drill Sergeant.
I've managed to teach that very same thing for 22 years without making a youtube video.
I'm all for hooah and esprit. I'm simply of the opinion that one had run amok.
