When or Will multicam become the new garrison uniform?

Had multicam throughout the deployment. It was amazing for the tactical situation i was in while deployed to afghanistan. It fit a lot better, and definitely had more air flow compared to the acus. I would love to see that become the garrison uniform.

I would be happy for you soldiers and airmen if you moved over to something more effective like multi-cams. no disrespect to your utility uniforms but I don't think it looks good, better off when tri-colors, multicams, or even marpat.

Supposedly, Big Army has authorized a new uniform. It's the multicam colors, but digitized so they don't have to pay royalties to the maker. The new uniform will be the army's garrison, field and deployment uniform. Also, the Army will be adopting the MARPAT woodland and desert for mission specific recommendations. Congress has approved it and it's supposedly troops are supposed to start fielding them soon. However some members of congress are still pushing for a common uniform for all branches to cut defense costs.

I was informed that we over bought ACUs and are trying to use those up before we switch uniforms. My upcoming deployment has us in ACUs.

I wish it would, it works in vastly more locations than the ACU ever did. Boy was the ACU a waste of money, we'd have been better off staying with the BDU and DCU.
