SSgt (Join to see) great share thanks it kind of lays out many of the complexities of air power in dealing with asymmetric threat like AQ or Taliban. We need firepower but often air strikes have given us a bad reputation in the eyes of the media even if it is a clean kill.

PFC (Join to see) well, when reporting can be slanted, depending on who is in charge, the media will either: 1) not report the strike(s) or 2) bemoan the strikes, depending on the optics they want to project. That's half the issue with the civilian views on drone strikes/capabilities.

SSgt (Join to see) very true I'm just pointing out some of the limitations involved in our air campaign and the conflict with COIN and CT missions in terms of philosophy and doctrine.
