What are your thoughts on Reserve to Active PSYOP?

Ok my FINAL question: It is my understanding that 37F (along with a few other MOSs) require an ETP. My questions is what are your thoughts on a 37F3P SSG being granted an ETP if they are airborne qualified and hold a Russian, Pashto, or Chinese mandarin language?

While I'm not a recruiter, I don't see you having any issue with the ETP for 37F because they are always still recruiting them on Active Duty. An ETP just means that SWC, or USASOC, or 37F Proponent controls how many 37F3 that they recruit and of what quality they are, this prevents USAREC from simply flooding them with SKL3 37F and messing up their strengths and promotions.
You'll end up going to Airborne school if you don't already have it because it's required for the MOS. As for the language, you're only going to go to the SWC language school which is designed to bring you to a 1/1 level. Whatever language you get is irrelevant. On your next reenlistment, or a year or two down the road, you can request Advanced Language Training at DLI for a language you want and the Army needs. There is a language lab at Bragg and every SF Group, and you will have plenty of opportunities to try out different languages to see which one you want to study next. The only downside is that after going to DLI you have to maintain a 2/2 in that language permanently.

Branch qualification is required on the outset.
Airborne is nice to have and opens the doors to assignments in Airborne and SOF units anywhere the Army has needs for your skillsets.
For languages, it is best to opt for the DLPT and score 3 or better in each selected language.
Use ETPs sparingly.

Roger, thank you Sir. I scored a 114 on the DLAB and really want a language I could see myself successfully scoring a 3+. This would be the first and only time I intend to request ETP as I know it is not favored.

SGT (Join to see), choose a language that you can easily read, write, speak and comprehend. The language must be one of those that the uniformed services will require in the long term and even in the near term. Negotiations in Arabic, Farsi and Pashto will remain in demand for the short to near term. Urdu will not be useful, unless the U.S. decides to negotiate the elimination of terror from Pakistani soil. Chinese ?

CPT Gurinder (Gene) Rana - I'm taking into consideration the [possible] upcomings with Russia and China. But I absolutely see Arabic as a necessity for the time being.

SGT (Join to see), are you fluent in Mandarin and Russian; can you score a 3+ in either language or both languages?

You still need to get MOSQ, regardless of language proficiency. The thing here is:
1. Good DLPT = no need for language training (mandatory on the AD side of the house) = language pay based on score.

Ok Sir, understandable. I scored a 114. I’m attending phase 2 of PSYOP reclass soon but assumed I’d need to have a language to add value to myself.

Ok SGT (Join to see), with a DLAB like yours you can get any language from the army’s repertoire; actually it might get selected for you by branch. However, if coming back to Regular Army is your intent, then you need to get with branch and the Proponent at the School House to see what steps you need to follow. Remember, there’s a huge difference from Regular Army PSYOP pipeline and Reserve Compomemt pipeline.
