HONORARY AIR ASSAULT - 101st Airborne Division Association

Attention Vietnam Veterans of 101st Airborne Division: The 101st Airborne Division has been authorized by the Department of the Army to issue Honorary Air Assault Badges to a group of Vietnam Veterans that qualify. After being authorized the individual will be allowed to wear the AAS Badge on Civilian Clothing but not on a Military uniform. Their military records will not be updated either as it is an honorary award. To protect the integrity of the badge you have to submit and fill out a form (link attached) certifying your training and combat experience on the form linked above (documented on form attached under qualifications). Those so honored will be honored via a Special Ceremony on Fort Campbell during the Week of Eagles 2021. As of now this honorary badge offer is open to Soldiers that Served with the 101st Airborne 1967-1972 that served with the 101st Airborne Division (Air Mobile) in Vietnam........see qualifications on attacked link for award application.
