Is it easier to ask for a transfer from the USAR to the IRR or to get a conditional release so I can switch back to active duty?

I served 3 years and 5 months in active duty Army , decided to go Army Reserves. I miss the active side of the army and I want to actually make a career out of it. Kind of also found myself in a little rut right now. Only been with my reserve unit since may, what would be my best option if any ?

Getting to the IRR would also be a conditional release, it's the same requirement to leave the USAR for any other reserve branch, active branch, or to just go to the IRR, you're getting a conditional release from your current contract.
Just write up your justification that you want to make Active Army a career, and submit that with your DD 368 (with your recruiter's signature) and anything else the USAR requires.

SPC (Join to see) - As SGM Mccloud indicated, if you're under contract (which you obviously are if you've only been there for five to six months), then no matter which route you go, you'll require a conditional release for a voluntary move.
Only thing I would add is that if you're under contract, going into the IRR is actually harder to do because the IRR is considered to be of a 'lesser mobilization potential' and DoD guidance restricts voluntary transfers of obligated service members (with exceptions as determined by each Service Secretary).
As such, there are only certain circumstances where a voluntary transfer of a contracted Soldier will be authorized (AR 140-10*, para 4-10).
