Lots of Christians on here; God bless us, one and all. The following passages from the Good Book are offered as a reminder even though, within its pages, you can often find "point and counterpoint" guidance. Sorta like statistics, you might say. "Seek and ye will find" that which supports a basic premise you yourself favor. So, Brethren, the following offerings are "food for thought."

“‘When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. 34 The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God."
Leviticus 19: 33-34

"You shall allot it as an inheritance for yourselves and for the aliens who reside among you and have begotten children among you. They shall be to you as citizens of Israel; with you they shall be allotted an inheritance among the tribes of Israel." Ezekiel 47:22

"Thus says the Lord of hosts: Render true judgments, show kindness and mercy to one another; do not oppress the widow, the orphan, the alien, or the poor; and do not devise evil in your hearts against one another." Zechariah 7:9-10

I am a Christian and I will give aid, water, food etc to a foreigner. However, I will have them deported according to the laws onour books if they are here illegally. Problem is we don't follow the guidance in Numbers either as the laws don't apply equally.

Numbers 15:16 - 16 The same laws and regulations will apply both to you and to the foreigner residing among you.’”

SSgt Robert Simonds - another odd thing . They say the majority of Christians don't vote in presidential elections. So as a fellow Christian I ask all Christians to reg and vote. You are as important as the any atheist's are and it may be your vote that keeps religion from disappearing from America as it appears is starting to happen today.

Food for thought, Is America reliving the past. In 1783, the Treaty of Paris secured independence for each of the former colonies. With peace at hand, the states each turned toward their own internal affairs.[22] By 1786, Americans found their continental borders besieged and weak and their respective economies in crises as neighboring states agitated trade rivalries with one another. They witnessed their hard currency pouring into foreign markets to pay for imports, their Mediterranean commerce preyed upon by North African pirates, and their foreign-financed Revolutionary War debts unpaid and accruing interest.[22] Civil and political unrest loomed. Events such as the Newburgh Conspiracy and Shays' Rebellion demonstrated that the Articles of Confederation were not working.
Kind of sounds like America today to me
