Glossary prior service questions for Army recruiters?

I’m considered glossary prior service (less than 180 days of active duty service). I completed Air Force BMT in 2014. I washed out of EOD indoc course because I failed the class work, not the PT. I was discharged because I was told I didn’t not withhold my end of the bargain in my contract (completing EOD school), I wasn’t allowed to reclassify. I had no disciplinary actions whatsoever while in service. Despite all my efforts to stay in I was discharged. My RE code is 2C, unclassified, with side not of failure to adapt, even though I tried to stay in and be a career Airman.
Moving forward, I’m 25 now, 6ft even 165, 20/20 vision, 0 health issues, in extremely good shape, ASVAB score of 73, squeaky clean background. I have talked to an Air Force recruiter and they’re not accepting any 2 discharge codes. So recently I’ve been talking to an Army recruiter. Gave him all my info, DD214, Air Force training records, and medical files. Of course he told me I need a waiver, which I figured.
It’s been a month and he claims the Air Force still hasn’t sent over my records. My recruiter told me he’s waiting on them to submit to his commander, who I turn will basically interview me and make a decision is he will proceed forward with my wavier. Once the wavier comes back then I’ll get the thumbs up for MEPS and all that jazz. So my questions for you are, how much of what my recruiter told me truthful? How long is the wait usually? What forms can I ask my recruiter if he submitted, as proof he’s not giving me the runaround? What if anything will disqualify me from serving? Any information you can provide on prior service enlistment through the army is greatly appreciated. No need to sugar coat, just tell me the facts.
Disclaimer: I’m NOT Air Force EOD, never was. I’m not claiming that I am. I just didn’t know what to put on my profile since I was in the Air Force and didn’t have an AFSC.
