WO1 Baker, awesome question... thanks for posting!  I think this is one of those things that may have some potential, although would have to be applied very carefully. So, I'd have to say that it depends on what a potential 'paid account' is intended for... for example for the average user, I believe membership should remain free (or RP could risk being considered obsolete/irrelevant by many users, like what happened to Classmates or TWS, meanwhile 'free-to-the user' platforms like FB & LI flourished); recruiters (along w/ those who have the need to target market to a military audience) could potentially pay a reasonable fee, just as long as it doesn't affect the average user and their perceived usefulness/utility of the site.  At the end of the day, the site will need to pull a profit; though my gut tells me that if members are charged, or free accounts were to become "watered down" in any way, the audience/usership/utility of the site could dry up nearly as fast as it has grown thus far.  I'm very excited about the direction that RP is heading, and I'd like to see it remain useful and accessible to a wide audience (meaning free of charge to the average user w/o watered down services), if it remains free and useful, the site will likely continue to grow at an exponential rate.  In short, if anyone is charged at all, I believe it should be outside sources like advertisers, universities, and/or recruiters.  Thanks again for posting...  Great question!
