Seeking resume advice - civilian experience & reservist mobilization

Hi – I am making some suggestions below. I don’t know how old you are but usually resumes go back 10 years. If you got right out of high school and went into the military in 2008 the below is OK. If not fill in the gaps for 10 years. If you were in college you can put something like this:
Student – Name of School, City State
MM/YYYY – MM/YYYY
• Studied …
I always recommend a one page resume using bullets (easier for HR person to see if you are qualified). Start your bullets with an action verb, include key words from the job description and make your bullets relevant to the job description. You may not have done that exact thing they are looking for but you may have done something similar that you can use the key words for.

Medical Laboratory Scientist - Name of Company , City, State
10/2012-present
Medical Laboratory Technician U. S. Army Reserves , last duty station, City, State
2/2009 - present
Consultant - Mary Kay, City, State
06/2008 - present

Medical Laboratory Technician (military mobilization, technically during this time I wasn't working my civilian job listed above) 10/2013 - 10/2014
(this is already covered above if there is something specific you did when you were deployed that you feel needs to be addressed here just add it in above - an employer doesn’t necessarily need to know you were deployed)
Assistant Instructor (civilian instructor of a Medical Laboratory Science program for two years, but only during the summer portion) 5/2012-8/2012 and 5/2013-8/2013
(same as above - unnecessary you already said you were in the reserves - add a bullet under your reserve time that says something like this: Instructed students in subjects related to the Medical Laboratory Science program)

If you are utilizing USAJobs.gov for your job searching make sure to add the positions description within your resume: every job application goes through the program first, before it ever gets seen by a physical person, so key phrases directly from the description of duties is vital in your resume to be pushed past the first point, the second point would be your HR department, and finally the third would be your supervisor/manager/chief.

Moreover, I would also use the web site's(USAJobs) personal resume builder and not a PDF/Word resume upload: just because USAJobs resume gets snatched/picked up a lot more in my personal experience(I have a lot more referred status then when I used my PDF/WRD resume today) and it doesn't matter if you have overlapping dates or even if it becomes over 10 pages(government jobs don't seem to care about one pagers that go straight to the point, they want a ton of details)--it will still go through just the same.

-- I've done this with Military Technician(Also known as "Dual status" / Grade Schedule and Wage Grade) positions, DAC(Department of the Army Civilian / Grade Schedule and Wage Grade) positions, and DHS(Department of Homeland Security / Pay Band) positions.
