So I failed my listening portion of my DLPT and my state is giving me 11B and pushing to also give me Airborne/Ranger. Curious how it will work for someone not MOS-Q'd going to 11B? I'm currently an E-4 and I've been on active duty for well over a year.

There is a 2 week 11B MOSQ course for the Reserve component that you could be sent to. Though I don't know if your unit will send you back to AIT.

I was told today I might have to do a Day Zero restart because of how OSUT is structured now. Apparently they incorporate more into BCT having to do with infantry. I'm getting a lot of conflicting information and don't know what to think. Luckily I have not signed anything making any of this official. My ETS date is in May of 2024, because I was only given a 3 year contract which was odd given I had asked for 6 years and student loan assistance. So I don't know why they are paying for me to do a 22 week OSUT if they know I'm just going to go active duty and choose another 35 series MOS near the end of my contract.

Just a lot of conflicting information being thrown around as to what's happening but the National Guard keeps assuring me I'll start during the AIT portion of OSUT, and they're also looking into the 2 week course.
