What are the chances of getting my waiver approved for the Army Guard (an Air Force RE-2B for minor disciplinary infractions)?

Hello Rallypoint!
I am currently going through reenlistment process.
I got discharged from the Air Force (2014) after 1 years of service for minor disciplinary infractions which all happened during my parents sudden divorce in a short 4 week window:
-late to class on numerous occasions
-missed assignments
-falling asleep in class
-unintentionally marking on testing paper on numerous occasions
I want to stop right here and say that I regret all my wrong doing but I do not regret the lessons learned.
Outside of this short window I have been a good Airman and received numerous letters of appreciations.
My flight commander (O-3) also recommended me remaining in the Air Force after seeing major improvement in the following months however squadron decided to continue the separation which was a tough pill for me to swallow.
I received an Honorable Conditions discharge with Narrative "Minor Infractions" and an RE code of 2B, which barres me to reenlist into the Air Force.
The Army turned me away ice cold in 2016 saying it can not be waived
but I just found a Guard Recruiter who said that it can be waived.
I have no criminal history what so ever, I am a licensed pilot, licensed firearms owner, some college, a web developer for a very reputable company and really dedicated my life in the past years making myself look as presentable as possible for the Army/Guard.
My suitability review from battalion came back as APPROVED already.
My ASVAB is an 84 and my MEPS physical is excellent and fully qualified.
My waiver request just got submitted but I am just so nervous about the results. This is my dream to get back in and I long for nothing more than this.
My packed also includes my former flight commanders recommendation to remain in service as well as endorsements from 2 field grade officers as well as my local congressman.
What are the odds my friends?

Depends on what MOS you're going to fill and how bad they need you. And what the board thinks---if it gets that far.

Thank you for the response sir!
In my statement to Battalion I made it clear that I am willing to pick even the most understaffed of jobs in order to contribute to the overall mission.
I believe I have NO RIGHT at this point to be asking for a specific MOS.
Riding that BUS to MEPS after my suitability review got approved, brought back so many memories and sometimes you just do not realize what you wasted until its gone.

I'm thinking an active guard recruiter knows more than all of us.

It sounds like you are on the right path. The odds are anyone's guess. Good luck.
