I'm playing with another IRC app. I'm trying to find other alternatives to mIRC. Freenode was boring. Maybe I should be proactive and register a #Rallypoint channel.

After a bit of research, it seems another good option would be to simply register a #Rallypoint* channel and provide a link to a preferred IRC client. All the widgets I've seen are pretty cut-and-paste dry. it might be better to simply provide a channel and a link to it.
