Prior service 11B here. Conditional Release approved from ARNG. What’s the chances of reclassing?

I understand needs of the army, prior service business rules, and in/out calls. I just want to know the chances. Slim to none? Sh* out of luck? I’m ok with staying infantry as long as I get a decent unit. What’s a unit with decent leadership? I would just rather learn a new skill set and possibly do 20 in intel.

That’s up to the MEPS and what the Army needs and has class seats for that day. You can always apply for 35L no matter what MOS you’re in.
Favorite units I’ve heard from most people are 75th, 82nd, 101st, 173rd, 4/25th 10th MTN. Basically anything 18th Airborne Corps

I was 101. I was in No Slack 1BCT 2-327th IN. I hate that place with a passion. Some people have decent experiences and some people hate it there. It’s really a luck of the draw kind of thing. That’s good to know about 35L. I appreciate it Sgt.

If you are completely out and wanting to come back in, job availability will be determined by what is open and what you qualify for on the day you go to MEPS. Going from Guard or Reserves to Active Duty, the same principles apply. It's all going to depend on what is open and what you qualify for. Your Recruiter and MEPS may try and keep you Infantry....but if that isn't what you want and something better is open that you qual for....

Prior active current guard. My recruiter just said that be mentally prepared to stay infantry, but he also said that there is a high possibility I can reclass. So I’m kind of so so about everything. I appreciate the feedback Sgt.

Just did this process. It’s based on what they have available that you qualify for. Bring a list of what jobs you’d want, worst case they say no, you stay infantry and then they lift off the bases available with a specialist slot and you choose which base you go to, you don’t pick the unit.

Yeah the few jobs I had asked for they didn’t have slots for so they said no but offered me another job in that series that was open. I wasn’t interested so I stayed infantry and chose Hood after they told me which bases I could go to

I tried for 15T, they didn’t have it so they offered 15F which was an electriton on aircrafts, and 68w or any medical / health care jobs but they didn’t have any AIT slots for them. So I stayed infantry
