I started out working for SSVF "Supportive Services for Veterans and Families" and we are funded by a block grant from the VA. Housing first is the motto and it opens up an array of services for homeless or near homeless Veterans. We work closely with the VA social workers and find the best fit on a case by case basis.

It's really encouraging to see the progress in reducing veteran homelessness! That 55.2% drop since 2009 really shows the dedication and hard work groups like the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans and other nonprofits are putting in.
That said, knowing over 32,000 veterans are still without stable housing reminds us there's still a lot to do.
Thanks for sharing this, Mr. Miller – I didn’t even know about this VA program.
Wishing you and everyone here a happy and healthy New Year!
