Yes you will.
But absent a really good reason for denying leave, this situation is bull$#!t.
Has any rationale been presented?

SSG Tom Pike - Hmmm... I smell fiction. Blaming someone else for why he can't go on leave so as to avoid hurt feelings.
It is beyond easy to take leave unless a major event is coming up.
Another possibility is he is making his requests with too little notice he is running into administrative obstacles.
In any case, leave is a priviledge, but an earned one. I don't get in my Soldiers' way on a leave request without a very good reason.

Well I can't think of any reason why he wouldn't want to go on a hog hunting trip with me, his older brother, and his cousins. Now did he actually turn in his leave paperwork or did he speak to one of his NCO's and they told him it would look bad to request leave during a training mission so he didn't do it and told me he did? I guess that's possible. as for the time, he said he turned in his paperwork 60 days prior to the leave dates.

SSG Tom Pike - Truly, this doesn't make any kind of sense. 60 days prior is plenty of notice. Short of some kind of policy memo from his commander, I can't think of any reason for denial.
Try asking him about whether other Soldiers are able to take leave. Maybe we can glean some insight on whether this is focused on him or it is a unit-wide issue.

Sorry, I hit the profile key by mistake, it was ob V an accident, I'd been trying to type an answer, and this stupid tablet is clumsy, I hit the profile key, as well as lost what I'd been typing...sorry about that...that's why I often prefer to answer such questions using our PC, to try to prevent such mistakes from hqppening, that often happens on the app to me when I use a tablet or my wife's iPhone...I have an older flip phone, dinosaur mode. I guess....

Yes, but the unit will get reamed for it if S1-PAC is up to snuff. It is definitely something to run thru the chain of command as high as it takes to go. No one is irreplaceable !

Yes you would still lose the days. You should definitely make sure that your PSG is tracking that you're in use or lose, While you wont lose those days till the start of the fiscal year I'd start the dialogue and get a set time that your unit is willing to let you take the days.
