How do we actually teach the Army Values of Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service , Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage? Can we teach them ? Or are they taught at home from parents when we are kids? Are they taught or caught?

I learned it in the Army, I'd been taught my whole life, but didn't get it until a few years in the Army. So, some catch it in the Military, some never do....

Core values and beliefs what you believe in what you aspire to be these are inherited by your experiences of life successes failures.
The Army Values became the standard while I was an Instructor in the early 90's. I have often talked to Soldiers about the Army Values and how they help reinforce a core value or belief already instilled in them.

Values are taught or not taught at home. I believe the Army Values were promulgated because so many basic trainees and young soldiers did not have a strong sense of values. The unit and the rest of the army will continue discussing the values, however, the new soldiers should see the values in action to reaffirm what they were taught. Keep in mind this is not a perfect army.
