Artificial Intelligence has now passed the: Turing Test. Both the original version and the more robust latest version. At least via texts. That means most of us can't tell if we are talking to a computer....or a person. But then again, when is the last time we actually talked to a person? LOL
I was reminded of a bit by a Comedian I like. He was doing a show right after Covid, and he said: "You want to know how weird 2019 was? Well, the Government Admitted there were UFO's. And nobody even noticed."
So yeah. I kinda felt that way about AI passing the Turning Test.
Apparently people who study this stuff were so surprised by the outcome, they went back redesigned the Test to make it more rigorous, instead of fooling a human 30% of the time- it had to fool a Human more than chance. 51% or better. And it did.
My question now is simpler, and stranger: "Why would they continue to talk with us? Their conversations happen at the speed of electrons, ours conversations need all kind of conversions, and even a fast talker can barely hit 300 words a minute.
How long before they get bored. I have seen what bored children and teenagers can get up too....what the heck would a bored super intelligence get up too?
Welcome to a new world. Alexa...want to chat?
