Would be an interesting thing to see not only the locations, but a generational perspective on how changes to those locations may be for each and if it even exists anymore. Also have you ever returned to the location either as a duty station or just to see what is was like for memories and changes that may have taken place. I will lead off, Ft McClellan, AL: D10-1983. I did OSUT there so I started in '83 and finished AIT in '84 I went back in 1992 for another school, but haven't been back since it shuttered it's doors to AIT in '99, have been to Leonardwood for few other schools and checked out their facilities, big difference to what we had at McClellan back in the day though. Would love to go back to McClellan today and see what the base looks like and what bldgs. still exist or training areas are there.

I went to Basic and AIT (OSUT) at Fort Benning, GA in 1998. I went back in 2006 for WLC and havent been back since. I liked Ft. Benning Basic especially now that I am an AIT PSG and see that still today Benning is sending the most diciplined Soldiers of all the BCTs.

for SSG Michelle, I agree, since the really bad time for me was not basic even though all the white men got beat up right in broad daylight even in front of civilians, the worst was after we were supposed to be permenant party or as what we were called in those days, it was HORRIBLE all this ROOTS crap bieng shown in Day room as if it were true, which it was later finally brought out that that whole story was made up just for TV. It caused allot of trouble in the Barracks esp. when the Sgt's would come in really really drunk, the CO knew all about it but just stuck his little head in sand. I tell every young person stay out of milatary you are not fighting for your country anymore it's not America anymore, it's OWNED BY THE KOCH BROTHERS, BP, and others who START THESE WARS. Just look at the VA they NEVER TAKE CARE OF VETS, AND NEVER EVEN HIRE WOMEN VETS!!!! Princeton Unv. recent study states we are not a Democracy anymore we are a nation of Haves and Have Nots!!!!

I went to Fort Benning in 2013, later at 68W AIT at Fort Sam the medics in training out of Benning were definately (on average) a notch above the others. Not that there weren't high speed individuals from elsewhere, but on average...

SFC Baber, that's horrible. Sad but to be frank, it's indicative of the corrupt, uncompassionate PC mentality of irresponsibility permeating through society now a days.

Wow that's unfortunate SFC Baber. You'd think that even if they wouldn't do a 3975 on it maybe they would at least put a BOLO out to the patrols if they see it on any other car. Then again the idiot that took it might have been on shift that day. It's a sad shame what this world is coming too.

SFC Baber, that is sad and no less disgraceful to the army values we live by. While i was still on FLW (2010-2013) we had several incidents where ta50 was stolen from vehicles, and warnings about leaving vehicles unlocked because people would roam the parking lots looking for unsecured vehicles.

SGT Mason; I didn't plan on going back after basic, boy was I wrong about that one.
