"Politically Correct" is an understatement. While there is absolutely no doubt that Cortez who had only his own personal interest and that of Spain in mind the land he overcame was held by leaders who were as corrupt and savage as the planet has ever known. He simply allied himself with one faction. His army of conquest was over 95% natives with their leaders looking to defeat long time enemies. If they were truly united they could have easily repelled the Spanish Incursion. In fact there were battles in the beginning where the Spanish, without any native allies were annalihated.

That's by the band America. Strangely enough it replaced Neil Young's Heart of Gold as Number one, and many people actually thought it was his song. There were also rumors that the song was about a heroin trip,,, since horse was the slang term for the drug.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02EsC1M8wto
