I know this may sound extremely stupid but on the many rotations I have been on I have seen a good amount of SMs who are on the Bird with me however they are not in an Airborne unit(Keep in mind they do have their badge and obviously have been Airborne before)
Also I do know you need to open your Jump Log and have Hazardous Duty Orders
So are these Individuals lucky or something?

It's called permissive parachuting. Your commanding general as to sign off on you jumping. You won't receive any pay and your jump log will not be reopened

So in summarization the Jump you would do
Would not go on your record and just be only a Jump?

SPC (Join to see) you can add it to your record later, but your jump log isn't "re-opened". That's a term that has to do with pay and being on jump status.

At Fort Bragg, there were fun jumps for those not in AB units or that just wanted more jumps. I am a leg, but remember one when I was with USASOC in the former post stockade. The USAF violated their lease on Pope Field by having F or P aircraft stationed there, in this case F16s. Some F-16 crashed into a transport and caused havoc, we heard it over at USASOC, but just thought it to be the 10th Marines shooting out of the impact area. We had to do a 100% confirmation of our people to make sure we did not have any strap hangers involved. That night at Willie's the DFAE proclaimed that he would have the AF kicked out of Pope for violating their lease. DA intervened, and it was years later the AF was thrown out and Pope was again Pope AAF.
