Could it be that at the time of your RFRAD (214) E3 was called A2C and by the time of your Discharge (likely 2 to 4 years later) E3 had been changed to A1C. I say this due to the fact that your profile says Air Police, a term that also is no longer in use by the Air Force.

THX SP5 Keane and yes, that's true, I think my new DD 215 states government police (maybe). What's the new term? And yes, there was a time difference of 2+ yrs. I enclosed a copy of the orders from USAF reserves stating A1C, but they yet denied.

From March 1967 it was A2C but then converted to A1C in October 1967, still being the E3 pay grade. This same time includes the switch from A1C (E4) to become Sergeant (E4) which then branched off to Sergeant and Senior Airman sharing E4 (in 1976 and the only difference being the White or Blue Star).

If you were discharged just prior to October 1967 (or on the cusp of the switch), then the A2C on your DD 214 stands correct. But, since there is not an A2C rank option on RP, then obviously A1C is the choice to go.

Since you didn't lose any pay, and after all this time.....I am curious as to the nature of why this is important?
