Here's an idea Sgt Anonymous, you don't speak for me and I'm pretty sure you don't speak for RP veterans that support President Trump. you carry your own pack, We DO NOT want or NEED you to carry ours. At best you are misleading people with this post. At worst... well I won't engage in ad hominins.

Let's get something straight.
"Former President Donald Trump wants to distance himself from Project 2025, while the Biden campaign is doing everything it can to tie Trump to the conservative plan to transform the American government.

“I know nothing about Project 2025,” Trump wrote on his social media website Truth Social. “I have no idea who is behind it. I disagree with some of the things they’re saying and some of the things they’re saying are absolutely ridiculous and abysmal. Anything they do, I wish them luck, but I have nothing to do with them.”

I might also add, that I seriously doubt many folks have even taken the time to actually READ Project 2025 to understand the actual recommendations, what's driving it, and the compensating points it makes. I am not pushing my support for it, as I have yet to read the whole thing myself (but I have read several parts of interest to me). But like Maj Bell stated, President Trump has not endorsed it either, so let's stop trying to re-create a new Steele Dossier line of BS.

Case in point. This opinion piece stated the following but conveniently left out the context and specifics referred to in Project 2025:

"Project 2025 proposes several alarming recommendations that could significantly reduce veterans’ access to healthcare. One would realign healthcare benefits to cover only “service-connected conditions,” – i.e., medical or mental health problems that were acquired or exacerbated by military service. Currently, once veterans prove they have a service-related condition, they can receive care for that problem as well as other conditions that they may develop. For example, a veteran whose leg was amputated in the military would not only have lifetime care for that problem, but also for the high blood pressure or cancer that they develop, in civilian life."

Now, if you seek out what they're referring to, this is what you will find:

"Needed Reforms - Rescind all departmental clinical policy directives that are contrary to
principles of conservative governance starting with abortion services
and gender reassignment surgery. Neither aligns with service-connected
conditions that would warrant VA’s providing this type of clinical care, and
both follow the Left’s pernicious trend of abusing the role of government to
further its own agenda."

Yes, I 100% agree with this. These are elective services, which have no place in the VA. No more than one requesting liposuction, simply for the reason that they look fat and think this is an easy way to deal with it vs exercise and maintaining a good diet.

The article is nonsense.
1) There will not be a slash in veteran's VA benefits for secondary health problems that arise in connection with service-related primary health problems.
2) Veterans who already receive VA health benefits regardless of the service connection or lack thereof.
3) The "quotes" in the article are misleading and have little or nothing to do with the articles "points.' Example: "Heritage hopes these changes will be implemented immediately to “ensure political control of the VA.” In parallel, Trump has said he intends to implement so-called “Schedule F,” which would potentially remove hundreds of experts who hold vital, tailored knowledge and replace them with ideologues and loyalists who can ensure the disassembly of the VHA system.

The actual intent is that career bureaucrats currently serving in positions that are for political appointees will be removed from policy making positions. We do not need a 4th branch of government, an unelected and unaccountable bureaucracy. The Constitution specifically grants executive power to the president, not bureaucrats. The democrats would want exactly the same thing if a democrat occupied the White house and a shadow executive branch ignored the policy directives of their president.

LORD how I wish the democrats had completed Junior High classes in civics and American Government.

In general, this is a hit piece. I got news for you democrats, just like any other employer, the government is not responsible for workman's compensation if you break your leg skiing on vacation. Time to get weaned off the government teat.
