Example of DA Form 4187 to delete current assignment and request airborne school?

What type of assignment are you talking about? PCS Orders? School Orders? These things, if you want them deleted, come from the issuing authority. So PCS Orders come from HRC, so you would need to talk to them. Not easy to get PCS orders deleted, as manning numbers come from On High (Dept of the Army) and you have already been counted to be somewhere. School orders come from the school where the course is. Those are usually pretty easy to delete; talk to your Training NCO about that.

Requesting Basic Airborne School (BAS) is something that you can do with a DA-4187. Fill out the top section, check the box next to "Airborne Training" (left side of the form) and send it through your Company chain. Then you wait and hopefully hear something yea or nay.
