Thoughts on this Missouri law professor suing his employer to be allowed to exercise his Constitutional right as he says?

Recently, TX followed OK in passing legislation that prevented companies from telling employees that firearms in vehicles on company parking lots was not allowed. They can still say, not in the building, but not in your vehicle. Prior to the law, companies who mandated that employees not carry in their vehicles assumed liability for the employees during their daily commutes. Example; getting car jacked after work, the company would be on the hook for damages since they were violating the employees' Second Amendment rights since the employee wouldn't be on the clock while commuting.

How many people would be alive today if not for these "safe zones".
