as a Victim Advocate, I hope this road leads to better actions taken against the assailants and better actions to assist the victims. In my most recent deployment, while this person was not a Client of mine but was harassed/assaulted, she did directly tell me (she knew I was UVA) that if anyone were to come up to her and ask what they should do regarding a situation, she stated that she would inform that person to NOT make a report. The Command Teams, at multiple levels, failed her.

I am so pissed at the army for not being able to improve the process for the victims. Some of the cases that made it to the press reveals that the system was a complete failure. Absolutely disgusting considering that the army gives lip service to leadership.

As I said down in Honduras that made the eyes become wide during my SHARP class....I stated that it's not the SHARP program that is failing....it is that WE as Soldiers are failing the SHARP program.

MSG (Join to see) - I have always felt make the CGs responsible for tracking the cases. Make the units, battalions, and brigades report to the CG. Have an independent agency ensure the program is being run properly and protect the victims.
It makes me mad because the NCOs and I have always taken care of the soldiers. The soldiers deserve it. I have read too many articles about the victims being treated like crap which tells me that there is cancer in the army. This is not rocket science, but the army keeps fumbling, which strategically gives the army a huge black eye, however deserving that it may be.
