Is this fair for transporting drugs across a country's border?

Good for her. I guess that's what happens when you think you're more important than everyone else.

She things she is so special that laws don't apply to her. She will have some time to figure it out. She messed up big time, you don't screw with anyone's border but the United States.

SFC (Join to see) - Well, I sure as hell don't want to see us trade her for an arms dealer. Then again, at least we're not trading her for 5 terrorists.

Sgt (Join to see) - In my opinion we don't need to be trading any criminals for other criminals.

She ignored the State Departments travel advisary that states - Do not travel to Russia due to the unprovoked and unjustified invasion of Ukraine by Russian military forces, the potential for harassment against U.S. citizens by Russian government security officials, the singling out of U.S. citizens in Russia by Russian government security officials including for detention, the arbitrary enforcement of local law.
While I believe the sentence was harsh, I also take some small pleasure knowing this disgraceful anthem kneeling twit will now contemplate just how privileged she was being a United States citizen while rotting away in a Russian prison cell. Perhaps next time she hears our anthem, she will realize just how good she had it here.
Now - how do we get Kapearnik to fly to Russia?

Agree with you 100% except for being harsh. If marijuana is illegal in Russia, it's then no different that crack or anything else. She can play stupid word game in the US but in other countries she better mind her P's and Q's.
As far as Kapearnik, I don't think even he is this stupid. No such luck.

Back in 1975 I visited both Moscow and Leningrad as a student ambassador. Before leaving the states we sat through a 4 hour briefing in Washington DC. 90% of it was on Russian law: those laws that 15 & 16 year olds would trip on. Selling our blue jeans was close to the top of the list. Smuggling in Playboy magazines and trying to sell those would land you in a 5-10 year prison sentence IIRC.
Russian laws are Russian laws. They are not US laws nor do they recognize US laws. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
