Until recently Dean Meadowcroft was a copywriter in a small marketing department.
His duties included writing press releases, social media posts and other content for his company.
But then, late last year, his firm introduced an Artificial Intelligence (AI) system.
"At the time the idea was that it would be working alongside human lead copywriters to help speed up the process, essentially streamline things a little bit more," he says.

Stupid, Stupid manuever. A.I. is an infant which will eventually destroy the company when there is no human overseeing its work. I have worked with Openai's chatGPT for just a few programs. Sometimes it required 20-25 tries before it got it right. But this was a program, not a textual problem, but I suspect that the situation will be the same. Without oversight, the A.I. could bury false, wrong, bad data somewhere, and the company may not find it in time.
