Have you ever seen this type of reenlistment scenario?
My hard EAOS is Saturday, October 1st, 2016 (first day of FY17). The Navy says I MUST reenlist within 90 days of my hard EAOS. I sent in my reenlistment paperwork for Friday, September 30th and it came back denied. Reenlistment must be within the same FY of my hard EOAS. Big Navy is literally telling me the earliest and latest I can reenlist is on Saturday, October 1st.. *I have no 90 day window.

Request 60-365 day EXTENSION. That will shift you into FY2017, bypassing your Fiscal Year 2016 issue (Must Reenlist by 1 Oct 2016). Touch base with Career Planner and see if that will work.

I have a soft EAOS date from Oct 2nd 2016 to Oct 1st 2018. If I reenlist anytime within those two years I will not be eligible for SRB during that time. If I reenlist prior to October 2nd, I can get SRB (unto a $15,000 bonus). Right now, I must reenlist October 1st - but usually you can reenlist much earlier. This whole FY17 thing is a real pain.
