The "Colonel's" Daily Motivational, Inspirational, & Leadership Quotes of the Day!
"Choice!"
“Leadership is about making critical choices. Trust in leadership comes from making a tough choice or a decisive decision that will affect others. There is no room for second guessing or waiting for the time to be right to make a choice between action and inaction. Trust your gut and make the choice to lead!” — COL (Ret) Mikel Burroughs, CEO, Victory for Veterans, Inc. (VFV)

I would not say I was a good tank platoon leader or a bad one. However, I understood one of my greatest responsibilities was maneuvering the platoon during combat. Therefore, I studied the Tank Tactical SOP over and over until I understood tactics like the back of my hand. This process taught me I had to lead from the front when it was appropriate, and the NCOs were to lead from the front when it was appropriate.

I Recall All But Two If Those Clips. And The One Where He's On Carson's
Was From His Very First Appearance On Carson's. I Remember Him Coming From Behind The Curtains, Both Hands Covered His Mid-Section, With A Small, Shy Grin On His Face,.
But Once Carson Loosened Him Up, All Hell Broke Loose...Went Totally Out Of Control!
When Robin Williams Did A Show Here In Vegas We Bought A Couple Tickets And Went To See Him ~ He Was Fantastic. He Was Tossing Out One Line After Another, And The Audience Was Laughing So Hard And Long, We Missed About 1/2 Of Them.
We Had Tickets In The Nose Bleed Section ~ $100.00 A Copy; And That Was Money Well Spent, Worth Every Dime; Were It Possible, I'd Do It Again At Twice The Price And It Would Still Be A Bargain..

A1C Medrick "Rick" DeVaney - I watched a Carson show where Robin Williams took over the whole show and went into the audience area which changed angles for the cameraman. He was a stunning genius.

Remember "Mork & Mindy"? ~ Ever Notice How Often The Cameras Showed Them Talking, With The Cameras Only Showing Her Back? That Was Because Robin Kept Alibiing And She Couldn't Stop Laughing. It Was The Only Way They Could Complete The Scene.
Her Was An Uncontrollable Raving Maniac On Stage.

Doesn't Surprise Me At All. Some People Simply Lack The Knowledge, Etiquette Skills, And Vocabulary It Takes To Properly Lead Others.. Some Even Find It Easier To Give Orders And Commands Rather Than Ask For Assistance And Explain The Assignments.
And It Gets Right Back To Something I Think We've All Heard At One Time Or Another,
"It's Not So Much What Was Said, As It Is How It Was Said"
