Okay, I start the MOVE program a week from Monday. I heard about this little hole in wall burger place. Kathy and I have always preferred Mom and Pop places than the big chains. And since Fast Food is off my list for the 20 weeks of the Program, we decided to try Fat Andy's.
They only make burgers, hot dogs and fries. So that's what we got. When we got in line, a guy who had just taken his Nephew to a gun show was in line in front of us. We asked him if it was any good?
"Well, I drove forty two miles from where I live now to come here. I have been coming here since I was knee high to a grasshopper."
Can't get a better recommend than that.
We got our burger and fries, and soda. The gun show guy waved us over to his table. I made him laugh out loud with my story about how bad I am with a pistol. And then he regaled us withs stories of his pistols.
Turns out, he has a collection of pistols. One of his Great Somethings was an Officer in the Confederate Army, and he has the Pistol that man wore. Given to him for Graduating from West Point before the War. He has a German Luger that his Father took as a "War Prize" during WWII. He also has a .45 from World War II, that his Uncle wore at Normandy. He also has a .50 cal Derringer! I did not know they made them that big! He said the one that Booth used to shoot President Lincoln was a .41 caliber. He has another tiny pistol that belonged to
his great Aunt- and his Grandmother; and was carried by Ladies of high Social Standing in their purses. It was a Colt something but I forgot the name. All of the women folks in his family carry a "purse gun."
It was a lively and fun conversation and the burgers were delicious. The Nephew was a hoot. As he stayed silent almost the whole time. But when he wiped his eyes after I told them about my troubles with an Army Colt .45, he said: "You made this all up, right? You can actually shoot a pistol can't you?"
"Nope."
To which he replied: "Well, I guess you're dead then." And that made us all roll.

If it weren’t for its green- and white-striped awning, you could miss a perennial favorite two blocks north of Royal Poinciana Way. It's a one-story retreat on the east side of North County Road wh…

CPT (Join to see) - I used to do rudimentary "pop blocking" to this, and Ice Ice Baby. Those days are gone. But I could eat a dozen sliders after busting a move and not gain an ounce!
