In another Post, SPC James Taddeo posted a picture of his completely tricked out Hog. Well, I never had one of those. But I did have my trusty little Kawasaki 400 over in Hawaii. You can ride a bike over there almost every day. And a tank of gas lasted a month. Perfect for an enlisted guy
Notice there are two helmets on the side of my bike? How's that for wishful thinking. Not once, in four years - did I have a young lady's arms wrapped around me as I tooled through the pineapple fields, or cruised down in Waikiki.
But I used to loan it out to buddies. And they would come back with a beautiful tourist on the back. I asked them how in the world they did that. They would laugh:
"Sarge, it is a motorcycle. Girls love motorcycles. It is exciting."
I would shrug. I guess because I never exceeded the speed limit, I wasn't that exciting. But it got me everywhere I wanted to go..and way cheaper than a car. I sold it for just seven hundred bucks less than I bought it new. They Lieutenant who bought it from me when I PCS's said:
"I have never seen a bike this well maintained."
Well, when one of your buddies owns a Motorcycle Repair Shop...it is kinda easy to keep things running in tip top shape. He always tried to get me to buy a Harley. I told him those things are way too big for me. "Then stick with the Kawasaki ...but you are missing out."
No, even with a Harley, that second helmet would never be used. LOL

Geez Louise, does every Biker on RP have Harleys that look like they are band spanking new? I know you ride the heck out of them, but they all look like museum quality pieces to me...or Art!

SGT (Join to see) - another biker would have known that. What I see is an absolutely clean pretty bike.

Brother Kevin, didn't have my own in CA, Ft. Ord but, would trade my Mazda B2000 with my buddy SPC Bentzel for his 1985 Honda Nighthawk S and take the wifey out cruzin' and ripping around Monterey :-)
My current steed is 2012 Yamaha Super Tenere with 26K on it. Great commuter getting well over 50 miles per gallon.
Some of my dirt bikes from a few years back.

I had a Honda Hawk 400 for years....because I was freaking POOR.....but they are just as fun as any other bikes, actually a bit sketchy because of weight and wind, but fun. Nice! Those make great cafe racers....and daily rides to work...

SPC (Join to see) - Don't get mad at me, I recognize that red box, it has something called: "Tools' in it. Very popular among the folks who a use tools. Very heavy and hard to move for those of us who can't.
